FAQs

Q. We would like to meet you first to find out more about your creative photography and more your style – can this be arranged?

Yes.  If fact, I encourage you to get in touch as I think it is important to meet and get to know each other a little bit before your wedding.

Q. Where are you based?

I am based in East Lothian and can travel to you. I can work all over Scotland. My travel and accommodation costs (if needed) are included in the all-day, 8 hour packages. This is to ensure that I am fresh and ready to work for you on your wedding day.

Q. What kind of photos and footage do you take?

I take a ‘fly on the wall’ approach to your wedding and if you want them, formal shoots too.  Portraits of other guests can be taken too. A formal shot list can be prepared with you when we meet to discuss your wedding.  I like to build upon a documentary feel to your wedding, creating a photo story from the beginning to the end of your wedding day.

Q. Can my other guests take pictures?

Of course they can.  Everyone likes to take photos of the happy couple on their special day.

Q. Do you work alone?

Yes, I do.  But, if you feel you would like a second shooter, please let me know and we can discuss this at our meeting.

Q. How long do you stay on the day?

That really depends on the type of option you go for.  I can come up to two hours before the ceremony to photograph the preparations and until your cake cutting or the first dance.  An average day can be from 3 – 8 hours depending on the size of your wedding.  Exact timings can be discussed at your consultation.

Q. When will the photos be ready?

I will send you your photographs on your personalised USB 6 – 8 weeks after your wedding day. As I get busy in the summer months.  I will also upload them to your personal (and secured with a password) gallery to share with your family and friends.  You are then (only if you wish!) able to choose which images you would like in an album.  From this, I will put together a PDF proof for you to approve, once approved it will go to print.

Q. How do we book you?

If you would like to book me, please get in touch and I will send you a booking form and an invoice of £100 for the payment of the deposit.  I will then reserve the date and book you in my diary.  The rest can be paid in full at least one week before your wedding.  I will then send you a receipt once you have paid the remaining cost.
